About

I'm a game designer who strives to tell engaging stories utilizing different media. I have a particular passion for creating experiences which seamlessly integrates gameplay with narrative, and stories which take on perspectives which haven't previously been explored before. My major experience lies in game writing, narrative design, and level design.

I created the prototype and pitched Friday, 3d detective simulator in Unity. I worked with a small team to create a prototype to demonstrate the core concept of the detective mechanics, and how those mechanics play with the narrative style and visual style. I pitched this game concept to an audience and a selection panel, and they liked it enough to give me a team to work on it. The following January, we restarted production with a new team of 25. Friday finished production of a polished demo in June of 2020.

I also worked as the narrative designer on Group Project Simulator, a 2d visual novel with minigames in Unity, where I was responsible for designing the overall plot and character arcs and writing all dialogue. I also programmed and implemented the visual novel portion of the game, and collaborated on minigame design and programming, and 2D art.

In my free time that I don't spend making games, I make traditional and digital art, and play games like Dungeons and Dragons, Don't Touch Anything, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I'm also listening to at least 1 audiobook at a time, usually fantasy or litrpg books with some sci-fi, but also history, anthropology, or autobiographies. Other than that, I have two black cats, and struggle to maintain peace between both cats and all of my household plants.

I graduated in May 2020 from The University of Texas at Dallas with BA in Arts, Technology, and Emerging Communication, Games pathway. Relevant coursework includes: Level Design 1 & 2, Game Design 1 & 2, Computer Science 1 & 2, Games and Narrative, Creating Short Stories x3, The Literature of Fantasy, World Literature, Game Studies, and History of Games.

I am currently based in Oregon and not looking to relocate.
